Pheasant Game boots retain their plasticity even in cold temperatures. In addition, like Gateway's higher-end models, the Phesant also features additional reinforcements made of Japanese rubber, or Jappan-rubberTM. This is a multi-layer laminated rubber in which a special mesh is embedded. This increases the shoe's durability by 2.5 times while remaining flexible.

The Gateway Phesant Game 18" wellingtons model has a manufacturer's recommendation guaranteeing thermal comfort down to -10 degrees Celsius. In addition, patented Lynx ICE-GRIP+TM, a substance that allows the rubber to retain its plastic properties even from 30 to -45 degrees Celsius, is used as a component of the rubber compound. Of course, the wellingtons have a moisture-wicking lining, so the leg stays dry and doesn't get cold. In addition, a 5mm layer of neoprene is used as an insulator. The weight of the boot for size 43 is 1420g. The boot has a standard calf circumference. The G1®-stage3 insole ensures comfortable walking and provides excellent cushioning for uneven terrain.
