Hunting footwear
Hunting boots are a specific variety of trekking boots. As we know, hunting boots are a basic part of the complement of hunting clothes. The shoes differ in many parameters. So, when choosing boots, we need to know what they are to be used for and, importantly, what type of boots our leg likes. Our hunting store offers a full cross-section of models and surely every hunter will find something for himself.
Classic hunting boots
The ideal boots for a hunter are all-season boots. Hunting boots of this type are the most versatile and will work well in most hunting grounds. Such models are characterized by a medium-height upper. It ranges from 7" to 9 inches. For the most part, these are waterproof, thanks to the membrane, boots for hunters. Of course, they are not wellingtons and we can't think that they will stop any water. On the other hand, walking on wet grass in the hunt and crossing streams is not a problem. Whether we hunt big game or dream of hunting fallow deer these boots will do the job. They have all the features of trekking boots ideal for long and demanding expeditions.
Insulated hunting boots
In the hunt we sometimes spend long hours. On the rises and pulpits we wait for dawn or by the moon we observe the foreground. In late autumn and winter our feet freeze the most. That's why it's so important that boots provide thermal comfort and allow us to hunt for long periods of time. Whether hunting mouflons or taking part in a winter group hunt with freezing feet, we will not spend much time in the hunt. Hunting boots have different types of insulation. Our hunting store, of course, offers extreme warm boots for sundowners. They are dedicated even to temperatures below minus 30 degrees Celsius. These models, of course, on average, are suitable for a long walk because of the size and width of the sole. On the other hand, they will be perfect for a short approach to the ridge and pulpit. We also recommend them for Swedish hunting.
Membrane or how to have dry feet.
Hunting boots with a membrane are definitely the best choice for a hunter. When hunting, we move over different terrain. Sometimes these are fields with wet grasses, sometimes wet meadows. During group hunting we walk in the snow, stand in different terrain. If we have wet feet it will be the end of our hunt. That's why most hunting boots have a membrane. Of course, appropriate hunting socks will come in handy. With such a set we can go hunting in any weather. The membrane that protects us from the soaking of boots occurs regardless of the material from which the hunting boots are made. Faced or nubuck leather and also very popular because lightweight cordura. Everywhere you will find a membrane. Interestingly, nowadays not only higher trekking boots have a membrane. Also low hunting boots are now found with a membrane.
Finnish Alaska
The well-known hunting clothing manufacturer Alaska also offers boots. These are comfortable and sturdy models that will work in any hunting ground. Regardless of whether we will hunt big game or go on a fox hunt. Finnish Alaska is a proven manufacturer that offers clothing and footwear from the middle price range. In their offer you will find hunting boots in camouflage as well as made of grain leather. The whole is complemented by the Chaser brown model made of nubuck leather. Of course, all models have a waterproof membrane.
Polish boots for hunters Demar
This well-known Polish boot manufacturer offers more than 20 different models of hunting boots. All of them are, of course, available in our hunting store. Demar boots perform very well in the hunt and we receive practically no complaints about these products. Demar also introduces technical innovations and often faster than the competition. This was the case with BOA boots where the standard laces were replaced by a draw knob with a steel cable. This cable eliminates the laces. This is a very convenient and practical solution. Two turns and we have tightened shoes. One movement and the rope loosens. Demar also offers as the only one, great boots for winter sundowners. Models such as Yetti, Caribu or Logan are well known to our hunters. As we well know, this company also produces a wide range of hunting wellingtons.
Harkila hunting boots
This well-known Danish manufacturer of hunting clothes also offers a wide range of boots for hunters. Every year new models are released, eagerly purchased by hunters from all over the world. Their names and the code used are also interesting. If there is GTX next to the name of the boots, we know that the boots have a membrane and are waterproof. Often, as in the case of Moose Hunter boots, this does not mean that the boots are dedicated to elk hunting, although they are great for that. It's simply a complement to the boots, a line of hunting clothes and accessories. The same is true of Mountain Hunter or Driven Hunt. Harkila produces not only classic trekking boots but also wellingtons. Thanks to the neoprene insulation, Harkila wellingtons are also great to wear in winter during cold weather. Harkila, like Demar, also offers boots with a modern lacing system.
A classic from Germany is Meindl.
Who hasn't heard of Meindl boots? There is probably no such hunter in our country. The iconic Island model has been sold for more than 15 hundred years. Currently, our hunting store dolasu.pl offers eight carefully selected Meindl hunting boots. These are proven models that we have known for years and that perform well in the hunt. In addition to the already mentioned and iconic Islands, the dolasu.pl hunting store also offers Wales, Vakuum or Taiga models. These models have their fans. Some hunters come to us regularly and exchange their boots for more Meindel models. This is the only shoe manufacturer in our offer that does not offer hunting wellingtons.
Seeland boots for hunters
As we know Seeland is a sister brand of Harkila. Both of these brands belong to Outfit and our hunting store is an authorized partner of this manufacturer. Seeland in its offer has fewer models of boots than Harkila but they hit the needs of our hunters perfectly. So we have low 7" trekking boots, another model is high boots for more difficult hunting grounds. There are also very warm boots ideal for a sit-down or Swedish hunt. Interestingly, Seeland offers us as many as three models of wellingtons for hunters. These are modern wellingtons insulated with neoprene from 3mm to 5mm thick. In such wellingtons we can hunt in winter and in the snow without fear of freezing feet.
How to choose hunting boots
In our size charts we have given the insole lengths of each boot model. Unfortunately, even within the same manufacturer, the insole length of the same size can vary. This is due to a number of factors. It could be the specifics of the shoe or production in a different plant. Therefore, we suggest measuring the insole length of the shoe you own and then comparing it with the size chart. Remember that no shoe can fit rigidly. Lack of air circulation inside the shoe and compression of the foot in addition to lack of comfort will result in freezing. Therefore, when buying shoes, remember to have a minimum amount of slack. It is also important to keep in mind what kind of socks we will wear with the given boots. If only thick and wintry then take this into account when sizing. If we bought the boots from an online store then before we throw away the box and go fishing let's put them on at home. Let's walk around and see how our foot reacts.
