The Esbit thermos is made of stainless steel and its exterior is covered with a non-slip coating with a rough texture. The inner wall, on the other hand, has an antibacterial coating. Between the two is a vacuum which is responsible for maintaining the initial temperature of liquids poured in for many hours.

The thermos can easily fit into a backpack or hunting bag. A distinctive feature of Esbit thermoses is that the set includes two cups and two caps.
